Hand Cast and Hand Poured

Our Process

Each of our candles are not only hand poured, the vessels themselves are handmade as well. Each one is different. Each one has its own story.

We start with literal dirt, and create something that’s bigger than the sum of its parts. The work is as satisfying as the finished product is beautiful.

We cast each one of our vessels with molds so that we get precise dimensions and measurements on each vessel. Wicking a candle requires precision and accuracy, and this method allows us to be fully involved in the creation process while yielding consistent results every time.

Our vessel then cures and cures some more. The lids and vessels themselves are sanded, removing any unwanted sharp edges. They are then sealed with a food safe, non-toxic, water-based sealer. Since concrete in its natural state is pourous this is a vital part of the process.

No Detail Overlooked

made as responsibly as we can

There are a lot of ways to make a candle, and we value making ours as clean as we can. We wick our candles with a cotton-core, zinc-free wick and use a coconut blend of wax that is a rich and creamy natural alternative to soy.  Our fragrances are phthalate and toxin free. We don’t just want our candles to look good, we want them to be made responsibly.

Lastly, we create and design all our packaging in house. We value the simple yet personal touches in what we do. We have thought through the details of how to ship a candle safely to you, while being as environmentally responsible as we can. We use sustainable options whenever possible. When you open your package, we want you to feel the love and care that went into its creation. Candles are invited into life’s intimate moments, and we carry that with us as we make them for you.
